NILE's Karl Sanders Talks About NEW Album 'At The Gate Of Sethu' & Shredding DEAN Guitars!

The reigning kings of technical, historically-themed brutality, NILE, have announced a July 3rd release date for their upcoming studio album, 'At The Gate Of Sethu'. The follow-up to NILE’s latest state-of-the-Death-Metal-art release, 'Those Whom the Gods Detest' (2009), will once again be released via Nuclear Blast Records. Neil Kernon (Cannibal Corpse, Macabre) handled production duties for NILE’s seventh full-length.

During the bands recent tour stop in New York City with THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, SKELETONWITCH and HOUR OF PENNANCE, we had the chance to sit down and chat with NILE's own Karl Sanders. Dave Lombardo's PHILM To Host Webcast Performance On Yahoo Music & TRIStudios.com - Details Available!

PHILM, the LA power trio that features members of Slayer, War and Civil Defiance, will give a free webcast performance on May 16 at 7 pm pacific/10 pm eastern, recorded at Bob Weir's TRI Studios and streamed directly via TriStudios.com and Yahoo Music (music.yahoo.com).

PHILM's debut album, 'Harmonic', is set for a May 15 release via Ipecac Recordings. The 15-track release was recorded in 2011 with members Dave Lombardo (Slayer), Pancho Tomaselli (WAR) and Gerry Nestler (Civil Defiance) collectively writing the release and utilizing vintage recording equipment during the recording sessions, giving the music a unique flavor AOL Noisecreep called "crunchy, Thrashy, yet thoroughly unclassifiable."

The band will play a hometown, record release show on May 15 at The Viper Room.

1349 Premieres Music Video For "When I Was Flesh" - Watch If You Dare!

Norwegian Black Metallers 1349 have a brand NEW video for their song "When I Was Flesh", and you should watch it now (see below)! The performance footage for the clip was shot on September 10, 2011 at Rockefeller in the capital of Black Metal, Oslo, Norway. The video was direced and edited by S.A Destroyer at Necrolab Studio and was produced by Concept Machine I:A.



In other 1349 news, the band has kidnapped JOB FOR A COWBOY's Jon "The Charn" Rice and will chain him to the drum set on their upcoming North American tour were 1349 will be main support for MARDUK. The trek, which kicks off June 2 in Baltimore, marks 1349's first activity on this continent since 2010, when they supported CANNIBAL CORPSE and TRIPTYKON on separate treks. That same year saw the release of the critically acclaimed 'Demonoir', which Decibel magazine called "a riff-packed, forward-looking blast of rockin'-yet-technical grimness."

SOIL has reunited with Ryan McCombs (formerly of Drowning Pool) for the bands first ever live CD+DVD entitled "Re-LIVE-ing The Scars IN LONDON" in stores MAY 8th 2012. This special release features the band at their very best from their sold-out UK performance on October 14, 2011 at the Electric Ballroom in London. This CD+DVD features all the bands biggest hits including Soil classics "Halo", "Redefine" and "Breaking Me Down" and also includes special never before released behind the scenes footage.
