DYING FETUS Release Second In Studio Video Of The Vocal & Bass Tracking Process For 'Reign Supreme'!

DYING FETUS have posted the second video in a series of in-studio videos taken during the recording sessions of their NEW album 'Reign Supreme', which is scheduled for a June 19^th release via Relapse Records. The second installment covers laying down some of the vocal tracks as well as bass parts. 

The band has released a full album teaser for 'Reign Supreme'. 'Reign Supreme' features nine tracks and is a "return to roots" with production focused slightly more on slam than in the band's last few works.  Thematically, the album is set to be a good old-fashioned piece of social and political commentary in the style of DYING FETUS as we have come to know. DYING FETUS will be on tour all summer long including an appearance at Maryland Death Fest as well as the "18 Nights of Blood Tour" in North America with label mates REVOCATION and Six Feet Under. They will also be on a headlining tour of Europe which includes appearances at the "Copenhell Festival" in Copenhagen, Denmark, "Hell Fest" in Clisson, France, the "With Full Force" festival in Roitzschjora, Germany, "Sevilla Rock Festival" in Sevilla, Spain and the "Getaway Rock Fest" in Gävle, Sweden.

The reigning kings of technical, historically-themed brutality, NILE, have announced a July 3rd release date for their upcoming studio album, 'At The Gate Of Sethu'. The follow-up to NILE’s latest state-of-the-Death-Metal-art release, 'Those Whom the Gods Detest' (2009), will once again be released via Nuclear Blast Records. Neil Kernon (Cannibal Corpse, Macabre) handled production duties for NILE’s seventh full-length.

AUTOPSY To Return To New York City After Two Decades Of Silence!

Headbangers! We have great news for you! Death Metal icons AUTOPSY are returning to New York City after two decades of not taking over the city that never stops rocking. The Bay Area Metallers will be performing at the Bell House in Brooklyn on Friday, May 4th! Who is AUTOPSY?

AUTOPSY is one of the early breed of US Death Metal acts, and most respected names in the genre, AUTOPSY formed in 1987 in San Francisco, and released four albums on Peaceville Records - beginning with the classic debut 'Severed Survival' in 1989 - before disbanding in 1995 with members going on to form Abscess.

AUTOPSY triumphantly and officially returned from the grave after a 15-year hiatus with the 2010 EP, ‘The Tomb Within,’ delighting critics and fans alike. The band then released its fifth full length, and first since 1995, 'Macabre Eternal', in 2011 (one of SPIN's top metal albums of 2011). Autopsy's latest release, an epic 22-track collection of re-mastered classics and rarities, 'All Tomorrow's Funerals', hit stores earlier this year.

HYPOCRISY Releases Update; NEW Record Due Next Year On Nuclear Blast Records!

Swedish Death Metal veterans, Hypocrisy, are currently prepping NEW material for their 13th studio album, which is scheduled to release next year on Nuclear Blast Records. The band has issued the following update to fill fans in on the process.

 “We're now focusing on writing NEW songs for the next album. We've already some NEW material and it sounds killer! The plan is to record the NEW album in the autumn this year and release it in the first half of 2013.  So far everything is working out as planned and we're really excited to bring out the NEW release.

“Between the writing process we're also doing some festival shows and we hope to see you all there!  We'll keep you updated what’s going on with the band!”

Hypocrisy released its last full-length, 'A Taste of Extreme Divinity', in 2009 on Nuclear Blast Records.

BELPHEGOR To Enter Mana Studios Next Month; NEW Record Due Later This Year Via Nuclear Blast Records!

Supreme Death/Black Metal commando, Belphegor, will enter Mana Studios in St. Petersburg, Florida next month to begin work on its NEW, yet-to-be-titled album with producer, Erik Rutan. The band’s impending 10th studio release is due out late 2012 on Nuclear Blast Records.

Commented vocalist, Helmuth, “Around 2006 I [had] contact Erik the first time, I guess. We talked about the producing of the 'Bondage Goat Zombie' album, but he wasn’t available. This time, we have to do it! Our sound, attitude… or lets say trademark, is a symbiosis of all extremities that came out of this glorious genre... Diabolical Black Death Metal.

“Since February 2012 we [rehearsed] and [wrote] hard on nine shredding sound collages. To record chapter X with Erik is perfect, since he exactly [knows] what we need and how we get this done.

“The thing is, the NEW compositions are full of intensity and pure aggression. The combination of European Metal coldness, atmosphere and sickest elements - crossed with an American brutal sound, is the master plan. This experiment is going to be ultra-sick!

“I dig to work with motivated, possessed and enthusiastic artists, to keep the fire burning, in all related things (producers, musicians, etc.) no rules, all is permitted. This is the main reason why Belphegor survived almost 20 years!”

“I am very excited to be recording and mixing the NEW Belphegor album at Mana,” added Rutan. “After many discussions with Helmuth, and hearing some clips of NEW material, I know that the band is very focused and determined on making a harmoniously evil extreme masterpiece. We shall make one beast of an album that the fans have come to expect from Belphegor!”

Beginning today, Revolver Magazine will host a stream of JOB FOR A COWBOY’s upcoming Demonocracy full-length in its entirety. Produced by Jason Suecof (Black Dahlia Murder, Whitechapel, Trivium) at Audiohammer Studios, the intricate, thought-provoking and wholly pulverizing death metal opus will see its North American release on April 10, 2012 through Metal Blade Records.

Crowned “an ass-kicking, skull-cracking record,” in a 4/5 review by Alternative Press, the nine-track production tackles a host of political and economic themes including media propaganda, the “war industry” and the staggering debts faced by America.

Dubbed "The Leads Are Weak," the mini clips offer playing tips and an up-close look at Sannicandro's astounding skills and technique. In the third installment, Sannicandro performs an exercise called “double dutch.” Sannicandro elaborates: "This is a two-note per string lick that incorporates a slight Dimebag feel and some chromatics. Two notes per string is often neglected by many guitar players, because three notes a string is much easier to get up to speed, but two note patterns are an OG way to put some bluesy flavor in your lick-age."

DYING FETUS have confirmed a June 17th release date for their NEW album entitled 'Reign Supreme'.
