The MAXIMUM CAVALERA Tour Proves That The Cavalera Legacy Is Intact!

Max Cavalera's reach for musical horizons that have never been reached before is what has established him as one of the most influential Heavy Music musicians of all time. And now his kids are following his footsteps! The "Maximum Cavalera" tour is in full effect, and for the first time ever the fans are getting the chance to see Max's kids with their bands INCITE (Richard Cavalera's band) and LODY KONG (Zyon & Igor Cavalera's band)!

This Friday, the "Maximum Cavalera" tour visited the city that never stops rocking! Apart from the Cavalera clan, the show featured performances from WYKKED WYTCH and our friends from IRATETION. Here is our recap of this great show!

Usually when you have an early show (this one started at 5:40) the venue is pretty much empty. Well, this time around New Jersey badass Metallers IRATETION made sure that this wasn't the case. Ever since we came across IRATETION, we knew that their energetic music would transmit beautifully on a big venue with a proper sound system. This was definitely the case!

Following IRATETION, were one Miami's own WYKKED WYTCH! If you think Miami, Florida has no place in Heavy Music think again. Not only did they deliver a perfect blend of Blackened Death Metal a la GOATWHORE, but they get the crowd moving thanks to Ipek's great presence and energy!

Next it was time for the first Cavalera's to hit center stage and prove why the Cavalera legacy is not to be messed with. While LODY KONG still needs some work within their musical craft, the energy of the band reminded us of THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN! While Igor Cavalera has an air to NIRVANA's Kurt Cobain, his vocal style is scream based and not harmony based. And hey, Zyon Cavalera's drumming proves that he has uncle Igor's drumming DNA!

Around 7:45 PM, Richie Cavalera's INCITE took center stage and demonstrated that they have been working hard on their stage show. It is very cool to see Richie come to his own, but its not surprising to see him exhaling out of control. Richie is the blonde kid that used to join SOULFLY on stage while the band was touring all over the world. The energy presented by INCITE warmed the crowd up for the SOULFLY tribe!

Once the SOULFLY tribe took over New York City, nobody was safe! While the band made sure that they presented the crowd a lot of NEW songs from their damaging album entitled 'Enslaved', we really liked how they mixed in classic SOULFLY and SEPULTURA songs. We can honestly say that Max Cavalera and company know that they needed to prove that the students (INCITE, LODY KONG, WYKKED WYTCH & IRATETION) can still learn from one of the best lineups in Heavy Music today!

CLUTCH + PRONG + LIONIZE In North America - Tour Dates Available!

Maryland rockers CLUTCH are currently in the midst of a North American tour which features headlining shows, co-headlining dates with HELLYEAH and a radio festival appearance. Today CLUTCH is excited to announce a headlining run for this summer with Prong and Lionize providing support. The tour is scheduled to kick off July 11th in Fayetteville, AR and currently scheduled to wrap up on July 22nd in Richmond, VA.

CLUTCH will also be returning to Europe this festival season. The band has been confirmed for the Sonisphere Festival in Madrid Spain on May 26th and the Peace and Love Festival in Borlänge, Sweden on June 29th. For those European fans that have been clamoring for the exclusive double LP vinyl reissues, you will be glad to know that they are being released in Europe. Blast Tyrant will be the first in the series of reissues and it will be released on May 25th.

CLUTCH will be releasing a 7" picture disc single of the new track "Pigtown Blues" on June 19th. (The digital single will be released June 5th) This is the first new studio material from CLUTCH since 2009's Strange Cousins From the West,and the first simultaneous worldwide release for Weathermaker Music. The track "Pigtown Blues" will be debuted on "The Rock Show With Daniel P. Carter" which airs weekly on BBC/Radio 1.

In other Weathermaker Music news, the label has lined up two special releases for this summer. The first release is a limited edition 7" single from the Legendary New York Hardcore band THE MOB. The band recently entered the studio to record new material for their new single Back to Queens, which will be released July 17th. THE MOB will be playing their first show together in over five years as part of this year's Black N' Blue Bowl which will be held May 19th at Webster Hall in New York City.
Additionally Weathermaker Music will release the new "Pros and Cons" EP from THE COMPANY BAND. The EP features five new tracks and will be released on July 31st. THE COMPANY BAND features Neil Fallon, James A. Rota (Fireball Ministry), Jess Margera (CKY), Brad Davis (Fu Manchu) and Dave Bone. Along with the CD Release, Weathermaker Music will release a 12" vinyl limited edition/collectors version of the EP. The EP and the vinyl will be released on July 31st. More details on THE MOB and THE COMPANY BAND releases will be announced shortly.

Lastly in CLUTCH related news, the band has just inked a licensing deal with Fox Sports for the 2012 NASCAR and MLB seasons for the track "The Regulator".

PRONG's Tommy Victor Discusses NEW Album 'Carved Into Stone' At The Golden Gods Awards!

 On Wednesday, April 11, America’s only Hard Rock and Heavy Metal award show took over downtown Los Angeles! The fourth annual REVOLVER GOLDEN GODS AWARD SHOW presented by Epiphone® rocked out at Club Nokia in Downtown Los Angeles. For the first time ever, the event was broadcast live in its entirety on Xbox LIVE, as well as on the Xbox and Revolver Facebook pages.

Prior to the performance at the awards show, we had the chance to chat with Tommy Victor, the mastermind behind PRONG. During the interview we chatted with him about the importance of an event like the Revolver Golden Gods Awards for Heavy Music. We also talked to him about the NEW PRONG album 'Carved Into Stone' (available now via Long Branch Records). Tomorrow sees the long awaited release of 'Carved Into Stone' the highly anticipated NEW studio album from PRONG. The band recently filmed a video for the song "Revenge... Previously Unreleased "Golden Gods" Interview With TONY CAMPOS!

Last year we debuted at the "black carpet" of the Revolver Golden Gods Awards in downtown Los Angeles, California. This Wednesday, we'll be back bringing you all the "black carpet" action! In celebration of the sold out Revolver Golden Gods Awards, we decided to bring you some previously unreleased interviews from last years kick ass event. PRONG, CROWBAR & WITCHBURN To Kick Off Tour Tonight In PANTERA Land!

PRONG are kicking off their tour tonight with Crowbar and Witchburn in Dallas, TX. The tour is in support of their forthcoming release 'Carved Into Stone' which is set for an April 24th release date on Long Branch Records, a division of SPV.
