HUNG is proud to announce an east coast mini tour in support and celebration of their upcoming self-titled debut out May 8^th 2012 courtesy of The End Records and Chris Adler from Lamb of God's label ReThink Records. The debut album features 10 punishing and sonically aesthetic tracks engineered and produced by Andy Abel and Lyris Hung at Abel Studios in Connecticut, with vocals tracked and produced by Ryan Kelly at MSR Studios and Nova Studios in New York City.

HUNG has premiered numerous tracks off their upcoming debut release such as Evil Tsar, Progeny, Sediment of War and Maria.

Tour dates are below with May 3^rd acting as the album release party for the band at Trash Bar in Brooklyn New York. Tickets for the release show are $15 at the door and include a free CD and T-Shirt. Doors open at 7:00pm with an open bar from 7:30 to 8:30pm.

HUNG is a five piece metal band from New York City featuring Lyris Hung (Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Bryan Adams) on violin, 'Evil' Jon Clark on guitar, bassist Sam Roon, drummer Kenny Grohowski and singer Dmitry Kostitsyn.  The band is fresh off their performance from the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival as a main stage performer where they played to packed out room.

HUNG violinist Lyris Hung says about "Progeny": “The song 'Progeny' is one of HUNG's most sonically diverse pieces, and one that shows off some of our most lyrical material. It's one of my personal favorites because it travels through many different musical landscapes… My approach to the violin lines are more traditional in a 'violinistic' way, allowing the instrument to take a lot of sweeping parts above the rest of the band and even the rhythm violin parts tend to be integrated with melody.”

Learn To Pummel The Drums Like LAMB OF GOD's Chris Adler; “The Faded Line” Lesson Available!

 DRUMmagazine.com has posted the latest article in its ongoing series that documents the skyrocketing career of LAMB OF GOD drummer CHRIS ADLER. In this installment, CHRIS ADLER offers professional drumming tips to help his fans navigate their way through “The Faded Line,” from LAMB OF GOD’s 2004 breakout release Ashes Of The Wake.

“It’s super easy for me to just go in there and do the straight 4/4 beat or whatever,” ADLER describes his role in the songwriting process. “But I try to get them to loop whatever it is, or record it for me, so I can take a minute and think about it, ’What else can I do with this? What’s interesting? What’s going to be fun for me to play for the next 18 months?’”

In addition to ADLER’s expert technical advice, the article includes a full note-for-note transcription of his ferocious drum part from “The Faded Line,” as well as streaming music, and a 3-D diagram of the drum kit he used to record Ashes Of The Wake.

LAMB OF GOD's Shredders Talk About Show Cancellations!

Guitarists Mark Morton and Willie Adler (LAMB OF GOD) have commented on the reasons behind the cancellation of their shows in New Zealand and Alaska.

"The specific reason behind the show cancelations is a private matter. I can tell you, however, that things are looking up and every one involved is going to be fine. We do appreciate everyone's concern and thank you genuinely for respecting the privacy of our personal lives. Canceling the shows was not a flippant or careless decision on out part, and we apologize for the inconvenience it caused to the fans in Auckland and Anchorage." - Mark Morton

"Hey guys, as you've heard, we were forced to cancel the last two shows of this last little jaunt we just did. As unfortunate for the fans as this is, it was an absolute necessity as family will always come first.
